Wind Resource Assessment Offshore
This section describes the differences in wind flow, monitoring and data analysis offshore in comparison to onshore. It also highlights the key differences associated with the assessment of the offshore wind resource and the energy production of offshore wind farms when compared with onshore wind farms. Many of the elements of the analyses are common to on- and offshore projects and it is therefore recommended that this section is read in parallel with the chapters on onshore wind.
